Milli Council may contest election

New Delhi: All India Milli Council is contemplating to take active participation in electoral politics, beginning from the coming Lok Sabha elections. The indication came after its executive council meeting held in New Delhi on 3rd August.

Dr M. Manzoor Alam, general secretary of the organization, has been quoted by Urdu daily Hamara Samaj saying the organization will never support a particular party. It will take decision taking into consideration the community interests. Maybe, the Council jumps into the electoral arena or support a particular candidate.

Dr Alam said the Council will press so-called secular parties for tickets. The Congress party will also be pressed to give tickets.

For terrorism in India he blamed Hinutva extremist organizations. Referring to a report in Mail Today, he said VHP activists are responsible for Ahmedabad blasts.
