When the authorities of the mosque, which is at a walking distance from Vakola police station, asked about his identity he said he was Shahid but after some time he said he was Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer but he couldn’t present his identity card.

This made him more suspicious. He was handed over to the police. A bomb squad was called in and the entire mosque was thoroughly searched.

In the mosque when people were offering Maghrib prayer, the man was reported to be found in suspicious conditions. He was watching various corners of the mosque specially the areas near the mosque garden.

At first he presented himself as a Muslim but later on it was found that he is a person from other faith. When the mosque authorities further interrogated him he replied, “I have done my work, now do whatever you want.”

He gave the same reply to the police. The police are describing him as a mentally challenged.
