“A police team during a routine patrolling recovered the decapitated body of Rajesh,” an official said.

He added that Rajesh’s hands and feet were tied with a telephone wire.

“The family members of Rajesh identified his body late Monday night,” the official said.

Sah, who was also a small time trader of second-hand two wheelers, was last seen going out with constable Pawan Singh Sunday.

Police have arrested Pawan and interrogated him but remained clueless. Pawan has denied any role in the crime.

More than 900 people have been abducted across the state in the first three months of 2007. Last year over 2,000 people were kidnapped, according to officials.

The body of another five-year-old victim, Ravi Kumar, alias Golu, was discovered Sunday. He was abducted on April 23 from Kadarabad village in Begusarai district, about 125 km from here.

A six-year-old child, Ankit, remained untraced since his abduction on April 12.

“We have no more faith in the police about his recovery,” said Poonam Devi, Ankit’s mother.

Leader of Opposition Rabri Devi said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had promised to make Bihar a crime-free state within three months when he came to power in November 2005, but had failed miserably.

“Nobody is safe in the state if the spate of abductions, murders, loot and extortions is anything to go by,” she said.
