Patna: Seven candidates of Rahmani-30 coaching centre have cleared the IIT-JEE 2012 the result of which was announced early this morning. This year’s result has improved the success rate of the free residential coaching institute being run in Patna by Munger-based Rahmani Foundation under the patronship of spiritual leader Maulana Mohammad Wali Rahmani.
With All India Rank of 1437, Bashamakh Yazeed has topped the list of Rahmani-30’s successful candidates.
Out of seven, five are in OBC category. Md Nadeem Akhtar has got All India Rank 2376. His All India Rank among OBC is 294 while among OBC Minority his rank is 16.
Rahmani-30 has much improved its tally this year.
In IIT-JEE 2012, some 17 candidates from Rahmani-30 had appeared, out of them 7 have become successful.
Last year, in IIT-JEE 2011, some 15 candidates from this coaching institute had appeared but only 3 had got success.

Three of the seven successful candidates -Faisal Saifi, Mohammad Usama, and Md. Mobasshir Imam – were financially supported by Aligarh Education Endowment Fund (AEEF) . AEEF is a US-based fund that provides scholarships, support institutions and provide training in India.

A total of 24,112 candidates have secured ranks in IIT—JEE 2012
IIT-JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). This exam is conducted every year. A total of 24,112 students have secured ranks in various categories in IIT—JEE 2012. According to JEE Chairman GD Reddy, 19,426 of them have been shortlisted for counselling for admission to 9,647 seats in the IITs and other institutes.
More than 5.6 lakh students had appeared for the IIT-JEE on April 8, 2012. The maximum number of applicants was from Kanpur zone followed by Madras zone. The exams were held at 1,067 centres across the country for admission to nearly 9,600 undergraduate seats in the 15 IITs.

According to media reports, Arpit Agarwal, a student of Faridabad’s Modern Vidya Niketan School, has topped IIT-JEE 2012 with a score of 385 out of 408. The second position was grabbed by Bijoy Kochar from Chandigarh, followed by Nishant Kaushik from Bhilai at the third position.
