Rehabilitation of Assam calamity victims

    Guwahati: To give shelter for the victims of natural calamity and ethnic violence Rehab India Foundation inaugurated the 5th phase of their Rehab Model Village at Hapasara Gram Panchayat in Bongaigoan district, Assam

    Altogether, four villages have been identified for Village Development and Rehabilitation Programme. The selected villages are Jounamma Camp at Kokarjar District, Paataimari at Chiranj, Solmari and another Village at Bongaigoan District.

    “At Rehab India Foundation, we see ourselves in the lives of every individual impacted by our work. Assam Model Village is one of the dream projects of Rehab that reflects equality and justice for all. This is the village which built with the vision that everyone should be educationally sound, access to health and employment opportunities for all. Same model, we will replicate in the selected four villages to start Rehabilitation Programme. We will touch all the necessary aspects such as education, health and economic development,” E.     Under this project, Rehab India aim to provide low cost houses, education, medical aid, income generation and employment oriented programmes.

    In addition, he also shares his experience that after meeting with flood and right hit victims how he planned to initiate programmes at Assam. He included that at present Rehab is running development projects in nine States; Delhi, Rajsthan, U.P, Bihar, Assam, West Bengal, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
