Srinagar : A Youth received injuries after he was caught between cross firing during an encounter between Army and militants at village Aglar Kandi in Pulwama in wee hours on Friday.
Mohammad Akbar 19 was hit by a bullet when he was on way to his fields, official sources told News Agency of Kashmir.
Police sources said that the troops of 53-RR were fired upon by militants when they were laying cordon of village Aglar Kandi falling under the jurisdiction Police Station Rajpora, Pulwama.
The fire was retaliated by the troops. In the brief cross firing a civilian Bashir Ahmad Lone 19, son of Mohd Akbar, resident of Aglar Kandi got injured. Search operation is going on. Further details will follow.
Akbar is battling between life and death in the hospital.
