Ramallah : A peaceful rally has begun in the village of Al-Masra’a, west of Ramallah, to protest against land confiscations, settlements and the separation wall.
Several Palestinian officials including Palestinian activist Mustafa Barghouti and governor of Ramallah Saeed Abu Ali took part in the rally Wednesday which protested against Israeli attempt to build a settlement in parts of Masra’a.
Barghouti said that the rally was aimed at defending the areas from confiscation, adding that Israel was using political meetings to cover up its crimes against Palestinians.
Abu Ali said that President Mahmoud Abbas has appointed him to participate in the rally in order to show the Palestinians’ objections against the unlawful Israeli acts.
