Srinagar : Claiming that government of India was planning to install Kuka Parray as chief minister of the state to further its agenda, National Conference president Omar Abdullah today alleged that there were about 22 sitting MLAs on the payroll of Indian
intelligence agencies.
Delhi has since long eager to create a mess of leadership in Jammu and Kashmir so that its authority works, Omar said in a public meeting at Cheki Ghanstan in Sumbal area today.
“There were 22 sitting MLAs on the payrolls of Indian intelligence agencies and they are being projected as leaders by providing them maximum coverage on government controlled print and electronic media”, he said.
Accusing Intelligence Bureau (IB) for creating a mess in the state, he averred that National Conference was the only party with an unambiguous political agenda in the state.
Omar while lambasting at PDP leadership said that fabrication of lied and twisting language cannot solve the problems of the people of the state and that the government was engaged in dispossessing the people from socio-economic agenda to bully and intimidate the people.
The NC president also urged the government of India , to cash in the unpredictable and sudden change in the subcontinent so that the peace process can be strengthen.
The sympathetic realm, he said, should be precede the diplomatic efforts and a bilateral cease fire should be announced in Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of holly month of Ramdhan which should be followed by working out a comprehensive plan for cessation of hostilities.
Omar said that Kashmiris are peace abiding people and have a right to peruse peaceful means of development. However, the miseries inflicted upon them should not prolong given the domestic compulsions of the government s of India and Pakistan, he added.
“Let the good sense prevail on both the countries and declare unconditional cease fire in Kashmir giving people a sigh of relief”, he adds.
