Abu Dhabi to host Middle East aviation summit

Abu Dhabi : The capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the first Middle East Aviation Outlook Summit Feb 27-28 next year, the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) has announced.

The summit, to be attended by more than 250 industry leaders and ministers from the Gulf countries, will discuss the growing influence of the Middle East on global aviation and tourism, WAM news agency reported Sunday.

Peter Harbison, executive chairman of CAPA, praised the dynamism and vision of ADAC and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and said that the Middle East will be at the forefront of the next generation aviation evolution.

Chairman and Managing Director of ADAC Khalifa Al Mazrouei said, “We are honoured to be the first host city in the Middle East of this prestigious summit.”

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority are the sponsors of the summit, and Etihad Airways is the official carrier.
