Tehran : Iran’s spiritual leader’s representative to the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani said Wednesday that his country’s next strategic plan was to produce nuclear fuel locally.
The Iranian official who was speaking in the northern Iranian city of Sari said Iran’s goal for peaceful nuclear energy is a legitimate right for the Iranian people who are monitoring such strategy with sincerity and transparency.
Larijani also noted that the current situation in the international arena serves Tehran’s interest, which also emphasizes the need to adhere to international laws and rights concerning nuclear development.
The former nuclear Chief negotiator also stressed importance on Tehran’s resolve to continue uranium enrichment activities, and termed “nuclear fuel a strategic product for Iran.” Iran’s movement towards nuclear technology was a long stride towards future and largely contributed to portraying the future for the country, he said.
Larijani also said that Iran took many steps to reach such level and stressed that Tehran has now turned into a strategic power in the Middle-East.
