Islamabad : Three children and a woman were killed Thursday in an explosion in a small district of North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan, police said.
About two to three kilograms of explosives, hidden in a plastic bag, exploded in Taunsa area of Der Ghazi Khan district when children, playing nearby, tried to open it, police sources told KUNA.
They said the explosion killed three children and a woman on the spot and wounded another.
Police termed it a terrorist act and said investigations had been launched to arrest the culprits.
