Islamabad : Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro reiterated on Saturday to utilize all means to investigate the tragic incident of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination and expose the culprits.
He said this after the Federal Cabinet offered funeral in absentia of Benazir Bhutto at Prime Minister’s House.
Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro, all members of his cabinet and officials of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat offered the prayers in absentia.
The Prime Minister called upon the people to remain calm and extend their support in the investigation of the tragic incident.
He also reaffirmed that the Government would continue its efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
The Prime Minister lauded the role of Benazir Bhutto in the national politics and said her contribution for the rights and betterment of the people will long be remembered.
He said her death was a great national loss which can never be compensated.
After the funeral special prayers were offered for the departed soul that Almighty Allah may shower blessings upon her and rest her soul in peace.
