ISLAMABAD, DECEMBER 30, SPA — The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decides on Monday (December 31, 2001) whether to hold the parliamentary elections on the given date of January 8 or postpone them for a few weeks.
Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Qazi Muhammad Farooq has called an emergency meeting of the ECP to discuss the prevailing political situation as well as damage to polling stations and election material in different cities, said an official statement
