London : A security alert at London's Heathrow airport caused major disruption Tuesday as Terminal 4 was closed following the investigation of a suspect bag, airport authorities said.
Thousands of passengers booked on long-haul flights, including to the US, were evacuated from the building, as British Airways (BA) said it had cancelled 108 flights.
Scotland Yard said passengers should be "prepared for a long wait", but gave no details of what they had found.
