Chandigarh : The Haryana government Tuesday announced ambitious plans to strengthen and widen roads and construct by-passes and rail overbridges at a cost of Rs.10.73 billion in the current financial year.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has instructed state engineers and bureaucrats to push the case for obtaining loans for these projects with the National Capital Region planning board.
He said 12 projects costing Rs.3.38 billion had already been submitted to central agencies for approval.
The state government recently also got approval for making six lanes on the busy Delhi-Rohtak national highway for smooth flow of traffic.
