The match lasted less than an hour as Bangladesh were home and dry by 10 wickets after play had been delayed till the afternoon because of a wet outfield, a Malaysian news website reported.

It took Bangladesh bowlers Panna Ghosh (5/6) and Shamina Akhtar (3/2) nine overs to scuttle the UAE side while Tajkia Akhter and Chamely Khatun achieved the 10-run target in just eight balls.

Seven UAE players were out without scoring, while the highest made three runs. Three other players contributed a run apiece, the remaining three were extras.

The rout must have surely come as a shock for UAE captain Natasha Michael, who was leading a team whose oldest player is nearly three times her age.
