New Delhi : A senior executive of state-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) was Tuesday arrested for sodomising a teenager at his south Delhi home, while his associate was held for raping her, police said.
The girl, 17, has alleged that BHEL deputy general manager P.K. Sehdav sodomised her at his Kaveri Apartments home in Chittaranjan Park area after forcibly giving her alcohol and showing her some pornography.
According to police, the girl who had come to the city from West Bengal was first raped by one Gaffer Mandal, who runs a placement agency in Tughlakabad area, in his office Tuesday morning after calling her there on the pretext of providing her a job as a domestic help.
She alleged that Mandal then took her to Sehdav's house, where the corporate manager sexually assaulted her, while his family members were away.
Police said both accused were arrested while the girl was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for a medical examination.
"We are waiting for the medical report and have registered a case under appropriate sections and are inquiring the matter," Deputy Commissioner of Police Anil Shukla told IANS.
