Hamburg : Andreas Kloeden has not ruled out retirement from cycling after having to quit the Tour de France over a positive doping test of his Astana team captain Alexandre Vinokourov.
"Maybe, I will quit. I fear that the sport is criminalized, you are to go to jail," Kloeden told Saturday's edition of Germany's Bild daily.
"I have a family, the whole thing makes no more sense."
Kloeden, 32, who has finished second at the 2004 Tour and third in 2006, was lying in fifth place Tuesday when Astana was forced to quit the race after Vinokourov was caught blood doping.
