Srinagar : Five pedestrians were wounded in a powerful grenade explosion here Monday.
Police said separatist guerrillas tossed a grenade at a bunker of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Habakadal locality here but they missed and it exploded on the road instead.
Five civilians were injured. The condition of one of the injured is serious, said a police officer. He said the area had been surrounded and was being combed by security forces.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
