Awards for Excellence in e-governance in MP presented

Bhopal, June 7: Impetus, the company that has pioneered Software Product Development in India, and Computer Science Corporation were jointly awarded the "Best Software Exporters" of the year at the "Awards for Excellence in e-governance in Madhya Pradesh" function here last evening.
   
The award was presented by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and I.T. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya. The award was received by Pankaj Mittal, Sr. VP Engineering and CTO, Impetus and Mr. Sanjeev Agrawal,VP Operations, Impetus. This award ceremony was attended by prominent names in Business, Politics and academia.
   
Chouhan presented best e-governance district awards to the collectors of Sagar and Jabalpur Shivshekhar Shukla and Sanjay Dubey respectively. Whereas best project award was jointly given to the commissioner of Jabalpur Anil Shrivastava and collector of Indore Vivek Agrawal. Further, an award was given to commissioner Indore Ashok Das for producing best software in the state. 
   
It may be mentioned here that Impetus is a leader in Outsourced Product Engineering Services. The company renders Product Engineering Services US-based clients, both enterprise level organizations as well as new age start ups. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh speaking on the occasion said that success of e-governance could be measured by facilities provided to the common people. Foreign and domestic investment can be attracted in the state by the IT policy of the state.
   
Chouhan said that success of e-governance depends on facilities provided to the common citizen. Acceleration has been noticed in the e-governance in the state and good results would be obtained shortly. Good governance is being established in the state through e-governance. Four time increase has been noticed in the speed of the redressal of the grievances through
"Samadhan online" and redressal of the grievances could become possible through one day governance. Efforts are being made to provide information to the people through e kiosks. IT expansion would make the state grow and unemployed youths will get job opportunities in a large number. "We will make the population a medium of prosperity and India would become leader of the world on the basis of its mental power", he added.
   
The minister for IT and PWD Kailash Vijayvargiya said that e-governance would play an important role in order to provide corruption free administration to the people. Efforts would be made to provide important information and certificates etc. through e-governance. He further said that 10,000 e-kiosks would be established in the state to facilitate easy availability of various documents to the people of the state. He expressed the hope that Madhya Pradesh would become educational hub in the coming years.
