Three Pakistani security personnel killed

Islamabad : At least three Pakistani paramilitary personnel were killed when a bomb concealed by a road exploded in the North Waziristan tribal region Saturday, private news agency NNI reported.

The attack was carried out at Karam Kot area near the town of Mir Ali. The bomb was exploded by remote control near a group of paramilitary personnel stationed to protect a troop convoy.

Two security personnel from Khyber Rifles were injured and shifted to a military hospital. Their condition is said to be critical.

The area had been calm since the army and the local tribal elders struck a peace agreement in September 2006.
