Patna : A complaint has been filed against Sonia Gandhi and three others in a Bihar court for hurting Hindu sentiments by depicting the Congress president as Hindu goddess Durga in a poster.
The complaint was filed by Sudhir Kumar Ojha, a lawyer, in the chief judicial magistrate's court in Muzaffarpur district, about 70 km from here.
"I have filed a complaint against Sonia Gandhi on the ground that posters depicting her as Goddess Durga hurts millions of Hindus," Ojha said Saturday.
The poster had adorned a wall at the Moradabad district Congress committee office in Uttar Pradesh since the state assembly elections earlier this year.
The court has posted the case for hearing next week.
Ojha has also named the Uttar Pradesh Congress president and Moradabad district Congress president in his complaint.
Sonia Gandhi, however, has condemned the poster and Moradabad Congress chief Ajay Soni was suspended.
