Baghdad : A suicide bomber Sunday blew himself up at a police recruitment centre near a town west of Baghdad, killing at least nine police recruits and wounding 13, police said.
"A suicide bomber wearing an explosive-belt blew himself up among police recruits queuing at the recruitment centre in Haswa area near Abu Ghraib town, 20 km west of Baghdad," the source said.
The attack killed at least nine police recruits and wounded 13, the source added.
Earlier in the day, another suicide bomber drove an explosive-laden car into a police station in Yarmouk district and blew it up, killing at least a policeman and wounding five, the police said.
Insurgents attack Iraqi security forces accusing them of collaboration with the US occupation.
