Baghdad : Three US soldiers were killed and nine wounded in separate attacks in Iraq, the US military said Friday.
One soldier was killed and nine wounded in an explosion while their unit was conducting combat operations in Diyala province Thursday, a statement said.
A second soldier was killed by small arms fire while conducting combat security operations in south of the capital, the military said in another statement.
A third soldier died of wounds sustained due to small arms fire Thursday in Diwaniyah province, some 180 km south of Baghdad, a statement said.
About 3,385 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the US-led invasion in 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
