United Nations : The Fifth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, is due to meet here Monday to discuss the financial arrangements for the hybrid UN-African Union (AU) operations in Dafur.
Sudan’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Abdul-Mahmoud Abdul-Halim, said here Sunday that the Fifth Committee, which is the Administrative and Budgetary Committee, would discuss the budget for the hybrid operations.
He told SUNA that the African Group at the UN General Assembly would present at the meeting a report on its remarks concerning the operation’s budget.
He said that Sudan would also present a statement explaining the different aspects of the operation’s budget.
The Fifth Committee would submit its budget estimates on the hybrid operations to the UN General Assembly in December.
