Three containers that arrived here from New York for Kochin Kadalas, a company that manufactures paper from recycled waste, are now lying at a freight station after preliminary tests by the pollution board revealed that 10 percent of the waste in one container and five percent of the waste in each of the other two containers is classified non-permissible for imports.

G. Rajmohan, the chairman of the pollution board, said Wednesday: “We are deputing a high level inspection team to verify the entire shipment and submit a report before the end of the week.”
