Now Durga Puja live on mobile phones

Mumbai : Private sector telecom services provider Reliance Communications Thursday announced that its customers could watch Durga Puja live on their mobile phones through video streaming.

“Mobile video streaming is a first of its kind initiative and would reach out to Reliance Mobile subscribers across the country through its popular digital multimedia mobile platform,” a Reliance spokesman told IANS Thursday.

“Subscribers can avail the facility from any Reliance Mobile World service on the Reliance Communications network. Subscribers can now watch ‘aarti’, ‘puja’ and other religious ceremonies being performed inside ‘pandals’ comfortably through the day from anywhere in India,” the spokesman added.

The festivities and religious ceremonies of the community Durga Puja at Hiranadani Complex in suburban Mumbai’s Powai is being streamed live.

To watch the festivities, subscribers have to go to their massage boxes and type (space)Powai Durgautsav.

Customers will be charged Rs.15 for 5 minutes of video streaming.
