Tehran : Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said on Thursday that US President George Bush’s remarks represented threats to international security.
Hosseini said in a press release that the president’s statements in press conference yesterday indicated hegemonic and ambitious objectives of the US neo-conservatives, which will stir militarist approach in the international community.
The US approach has jeopardized tranquility and security in the international community and created impediments to global stability and peace, Hosseini added.
The Iranian official explained the US is using rhetoric and literature of war to cover up domestic and international difficulties they created.
“Failure of the US performance in Iraq and Afghanistan have led the war-mongering approach of neo-conservatives to a dead-end, so their survival at the top of Washington’s policy making hierarchy has become ambiguous,” Hosseini said.
On Wednesday evening, the US President warned in a press conference world leaders from allowing Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon if they want to thwart World War III.
