Moscow : Eleven political parties will run for the State Duma, the lower house of Russia’s parliament, on Dec 2, the country’s Central Election Commission (CEC) said.
On Oct 28, the CEC completed the registration of federal lists of candidates from political parties at the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
The ballot papers will include the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF), the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), the United Russia, the Just Russia, the Union of Right Forces, Yabloko (Apple) party, the Patriots of Russia, the Democratic Party of Russia, the Civil Force, the Agrarian Party of Russia and the Party of Social Justice, the Central Election Commission said.
At the same time, the CEC denied the Green Party, the Party of Peace and Unity, and the People’s Union registration for the parliamentary election as more than five percent of their electors’ signatures turned out to be invalid.
