Kiev : Four miners were killed and three others were injured in a rockslide at a coalmine in eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry said Monday.
The mine accident occurred about 4.00 p.m. Moscow time (1:00 p.m. GMT) Sunday.
The injured miners were hospitalised with various injuries, the ministry said.
In another incident Sunday, 555 miners were urgently evacuated following a fire in a mine in the Lugansk region. There were no casualties in the incident, the local rescue service said.
