New York : Novak Djokovic of Serbia joins the world top two tennis players, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, in the season-ending Masters Cup in Shanghai after reaching the quarter-finals of the US Open.
The November event will be held for the third consecutive year in Shanghai, with Federer the defending champion.
The 20-year-old has put together an impressive 2007 season, reaching three finals, including Masters events in Miami and Montreal where he beat both of his main rivals.
“Wow, I’m in, I’m so happy,” he exclaimed. “This is one of my dreams and one of the happiest moments of my short career so far.
“I’m really looking forward to that. To be part of the best eight at the end of the year is something unbelievable. Everything is coming so fast.”
