London : The Indian innings folded up for a paltry 187 in 47.3 overs at the series-deciding final one-day international (ODI) cricket match against England at the Lord’s here Saturday.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, the Indian batsmen never got going against the English bowlers in overcast conditions, though there were questions about two decisions that led to the dismissals of skipper Rahul Dravid and maestro Sachin Tendulkar.
Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar gave both out caught behind off the bowling of Andrew Flintoff, but there were doubts on whether the ball had touched the edge of the bat on its way to the keeper’s gloves. Tendulkar looked incredulous as Dar raised the dreaded finger and then walked off with a wry smile.
