Ludhiana : The Jagatjit Cotton Textile (JCT) Mills football club will shift base to Hoshairpur from Phagwara, home to the team from almost three decades.

New practice facilties, expected to be ready by the month end, have come up as part of JCT’s stadium project at their Hoshiarpur plant, close to Himachal Pradesh.

Finishing touches are being given to the players’ residential quarters before the team makes the move.

At the spanking new complex, a ‘JCT One Team One Goal’ signboard greets visitors with a distinct smell of football in the air. The complex has everything from a fully equipped gym to a swimming pool at the ground.

The picturesque new stadium is built in the midst of cornfields. Adding to its beauty are Himachal’s mountains.

“The new facilities will have advanced training facilities,” said JCT coach Sukhwinder Singh.

“Each player – senior, local or foreigner – will be put up there. The facilities will be the best for professional footballers anywhere in the country,” he proudly added.
