Over a dozen Taliban militants killed in Afghanistan

Kabul : Afghan and the US-led coalition forces killed more than one dozen Taliban insurgents in Uruzgan province of southern Afghanistan Wednesday, a coalition statement said.

The joint forces on a combat patrol were ambushed by some militants in northwestern Uruzgan, the statement said, adding that the forces fought back and called in close air support.

“More than a dozen enemy fighters were killed,” the statement said.
