“Photographs related to the exile of Ram are being collected for the Ram Path exhibition and the help of Ram Avtar Sharma of Delhi has also been sought for the purpose. He has already organised one Ram Van Path exhibition at Delhi in the past,” a BJP leader told IANS.

Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government is also learnt to have asked the state archaeological department to trace the route Lord Ram took when he went into exile.

“These spots will be linked and the present government would declare the route as Ram Path. It may also promote the circuit as part of religious tourism,” an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official said.

The state archaeology department, he said, had already written to its offices in Gwalior, Jabalpur and Indore to find out places in the state that are linked to the Hindu epic Ramayan.

“I am convinced Lord Ram existed. Only historical evidences are to be found,” said Madhya Pradesh Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma. “He passed through Satna, Mandla and Balaghat districts before he crossed over to Maharashtra,” Sharma added.
