Tehran : President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Sunday urged all people, particularly the young generation, to build up the Islamic Iran.
He made the remarks as he addressed students and teachers of a girls’ guidance school in southwestern Tehran at a ceremony marking the start of new academic year in Iran.
“Iran has always been the harbinger of science and culture,” he said underscoring the need for safeguarding such great responsibility.
He further referred to school as a “holy place”.
“Our nation is capable of reaching the highest apogees. All should participate and work hand in hand to bring all-out prosperity to the country,” he added.
Unity and solidarity, study, scientific works, belief in God, love for the country, endeavor, and creativity are among elements that lead the Iranian nation to the climax of progress and development, the president noted.
However, he added that discord, cultural vulnerability, failure to identify enemies and their conspiracies, indifference toward enemy aggression, and losing opportunities, as well as absence of self-belief, innovation, and creativity are obstacles in the way of progress.
