Italian international Luca Toni scored his fourth goal of the season, while German striker Miroslav Klose, Hamit Altintop and second half substitute Ze Roberto added another three for Bayern.

Tamas Hajnal managed the only goal for the home side, providing some consolation to the 30,702 spectators in the sold-out Karlsruher Wildpark Stadium.
