Sana’a : Yemen and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will carry out next November a wide joint survey campaign on locust reproduction whereabouts in border areas between the two countries.
Director of Desert Locusts Control Center Abdu Arrumeih informed Saba that the goal of the joint campaign is to find out places where locusts are expected to multiply due to suitable environmental
circumstances.
He considered this survey as a precautious measures by the two countries to face the dangers of locusts, praising Saudi support to Yemen’s efforts in combating desert locusts which are the most
dangerous kind for its ability to spread among mountainous areas causing big losses in agricultural products.
