France’s Dominique Strauss-Kahn elected IMF head

Washington : Former French finance minister Dominique Strauss-Kahn was elected Friday to head the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the IMF’s governing board said.

Strauss-Kahn, 58, will take over on Nov 1 from Spain’s Rodrigo de Rato, the board said in a statement.
