New Delhi : The warships of Indian and German Navies, for the first time will begin joint exercise in Arabian Sea from April 5.
According to media sources, the German warships, led by Rear Admiral F Bollow will enter Indian waters for the first time. The Indian warships would have their first interaction with German ships during the next few days. The Germans have been building up their naval fleet in the last few years. The German fleet would be deployed in the Gulf.
The Indian Ocean and the Gulf region have become utmost importance for the industrialised nations in the recent years because seventy percent oil of the world is shipped through this region.
