New Delhi : Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Wednesday that his government has taken all steps that are essential to secure the release of Sarabjeet Singh, who is in Pakistani jail.
A spokesman of Congress party Manish Tewari said a delegation of leaders from Indian Punjab met the Prime Minister here and raised the issue of release of Sarabjeet Singh, who is on death row in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister told the delegation that whatever steps are essential and necessary have already been taken by the Government to secure the release of Sarabjeet Singh on humanitarian grounds, the spokesman told reporters.
