The letter was handed over to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the Security Council by Iran’s permanent envoy to the UN, Mohammad Khazaei, on Friday.

In his April 7 statement, Israeli National Infrastructure Mminister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer threatened the Iranian nation with destruction.

“Tehran has repeatedly protested to the UN and the Security Council over the threats made by the Tel Aviv regime,” Hosseini told reporters at his weekly press conference Sunday.

He urged the international body and the council not to remain silent vis-a-vis the threats made by the Israeli regime with a record of aggression and occupation possessing nuclear weapons.

Hosseini expressed regret that the UN and the Security Council act in line with the interests of the Israeli regime.
