Hanoi : Restaurants and delicatessens have been shaken by inspections in gastronomy in this capital joining an offensive aimed at cutting current cholera outbreaks.
Experts from the Health Ministry supervise comprehensively on Thursday food hygiene in different places of Hanoi, propagation center of the Vibrio Cholera bacterium followed by the provinces of Hatay, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh and Bac Giang.
Datails from that ministry reported about 1,790 cases of severe diarrhea attended in hospitals, 323 of them confirmed as cholera.
During the last 24 hours health inspectors have closed five of those businesses in the capital for violating health regulations.
The inspections will be stepped up in localities of high-risk of infection, said forward the Health minister Trinh Quan Huan when he reiterated that to eliminate epidemic and fulfillment of health regulations represent the government’s priorities.
