Bangkok : A helicopter of the Royal Thai Air Force on Wednesday crashed in Thailand’s southern province of Yala, killing three soldiers.
Initial report of local police said the UH-1 Huey Helicopter crashed in Yala’s Be Tong district. Three soldiers aboard were killed on spot.
Akhon Thiprooch, the spokesman of the Royal Thai Army, confirmed the report. He said the helicopter crashed on Wednesday morning while it was on its way to attend a meeting in the 4th Army Region.
The local army soldiers and police were on still on the way rushing to the scene since the helicopter crashed in a mountainous area.
Thai newspaper The Manager said the crash may caused by bad weather.
