Taslima Nasreen returned to India from Sweden on Friday. She was whisked away from the airport to unknown place. Her stay has not been disclosed.

Reacting to her arrival, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind president Maulana Qari Syed Mohammd Usman said this is a move to keep Muslims raged and divert their attention from the original socio-economic and political issues.

MP and Jamiat leader Maualana Mahmood Madani said her controversial books including Dwikhondito are selling in the market with controversial portion even though she had promised that those portions would be removed.

External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said she was allowed in as it is India’s tradition to provide shelter to those seeking it. He, however, maintained that guests are expected not to create problems for hosts.
