Bomb attack kills six security personnel in northwest Pakistan

Peshawar : Six officials of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) were killed in a bomb attack in the Pakistani northwestern city of Peshawar on Tuesday.

The PAF vehicle was heading to a base near Peshawar when came under attack on Kohat road locality, police said.

Another 15 people, most PAF personnel, were also injured in the attack.

The injured were shifted to hospitals in Peshawar by the police and people in their vehicles.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack. But such attacks are blamed on militants.

The forces sealed the blast site soon after the attack in the busy locality of the city.

Witnesses said that the vehicle caught fire and completely burnt.
