“Two killers riding a motorbike reached the judge’s house and knocked at the door at about 1 p.m. local time,” Matiullah Khan told Xinhua, adding the judge and his son were killed when they answered the door out of the house.

Nobody has taken the responsibility yet but Afghanistan over the months has been dominated by various violent incidents created by anti-government militants.

Also on Saturday afternoon, a civilian mini-bus moving on Kandahar-Uruzgan highway was struck by a landmine in Shah Wali Kotdistrict of Kandahar province, resulting in ten deaths of the civilian occupants.

Taliban-led militants have stepped up attacks on Afghan and foreign troops over the past months and in many cases civilians were killed in the splash of militancy-related attacks.

Over 3,500 people, majority militants, died in Afghan from violence and clashes so far this year.
