With Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit being given the credit for taking the party to a record third consecutive victory in Delhi, the meeting is considered a mere formality, party insiders said.

All 42 Congress legislators would be attending the meeting to be held at the office of the Delhi Congress. “It would be chaired by Congress general secretary Mohsina Kidwai and union Minister of State for Finance P.K. Bansal,” Delhi Congress chief J.P Aggarwal told IANS.

The Congress won 42 seats in the 70-member Delhi assembly while the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party had to be content with 23 seats. The Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party managed to open its account and won two seats while the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) bagged one seat.
