Kathmandu : A Twin Otter belonging to Nepal’s national carrier, Nepal Airlines, met with an accident during test flight at the Tribhuvan International Airport Wednesday.
However, the pilot Y.P. Johar and co-pilot U. Silwal were rescued unhurt.
The plane was carrying no other passenger during the test flight when it slipped off the runway, temporarily disrupting domestic and international flights.
Nepal’s civil aviation authorities said flights had resumed.
In October, a small plane on a domestic flight crashed in northern Nepal, killing 18 of the 19 people on board, mostly foreign tourists.
