Egyptian PM stresses good bilateral ties with Kuwait

Cairo : Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif reiterated here on Tuesday that the Governments of Egypt and Kuwait have been strig for the development of relations between them in various areas.

Nazif said in a press statement at the conclusion of talks with the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, “I take this opportunity to welcome the Guest and thank him for accepting this call and his presence with us today at the head of a high-level delegation.”

Nazif described the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations as “a model” to be followed in all areas, especially as there is an increase in trade relations between the two countries and integration along with large investments by the private sector and the Kuwaiti government represented in the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).

He pointed out that the State of Kuwait hosts a large Egyptian community which is the second in number under full auspices of the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Prime Minister himself.

“I also thanked him for the care extended for our Egyptian people”, he added.

Nazif pointed out that all meetings of Egyptian – Kuwaiti sides converge on the development of the special relationship between the two countries.

He said that there are many Kuwaitis who prefer to visit and reside in Egypt, as well as invest in it. Dr. Nazif pointed to the increasing Kuwaiti investments in Egypt in various fields.
